Even though the Estonian Maritime Museum is closed for visiting at the moment, we keep on going as an organization and looking for a senior researcher to join our underwater archaeology team! We are looking for a senior researcher.
The Estonian Maritime Museum was founded in 1935 for collecting, preserving, studying and presenting Estonian maritime culture and history. Our mission is to promote knowledge about, respect for and love of the sea.
The Maritime Archaeology team investigates and documents shipwrecks in the Baltic Sea Region with specific focus on Estonian and neighbouring countries. The division of Underwater Archaeology offers a mix of both digital archaeology and hands-on-underwater research.
